Frequently Asked Questions

How many guests can your venue accomodate?

Agerup can easily host up to 149 guests for your big day. If your being more than a 100 guests, we charge a little extra for the additional facilities to accomodate the extra chairs, tables and sanitary facilities. On top of that, you are able to host your nearest and dearest family (max 23 guests) in the manor house. An additional 8 guest can be accomodated in the adjoining “Major’s house”. In Maribo and Bandholm, you will find great hotels to refer to for those who wish to spend the night nearby.

How do people celebrate their wedding?

Weddings are as different and unique as are each and every one of us. On Agerup, we take pride in customizing the weekend to your dreams and needs.

Some like to invite all guests to a pre-wedding drink on Friday night to make the most of their special weekend and facilitate the socializing before all the formalities take place. Then they have a morning or mid-day wedding ceremony in one of the nearby churches or in plain nature on Agerup, followed by a reception with wedding cake and champaign. While the guests get to change, the bride and groom have arranged for a photo session in the stunning and historical surroundings to make the day even more memorial. Finally, dinner and party take place in the old barn, decorated with flowers, lights and white tablecloths. Is there anything better than dancing until sunrise?

How do you get to Agerup?

Agerup is situated on Lolland in the south of Denmark, only 1½ hours of drive from Copenhagen. Cars can easily be parked on the premises. If you come by public transportation, the nearest train station is Saxkøbing and from there you would have to take a cab the last 4.5 kilometers.

Some wedding planners choose to offer busses that take guests who are not staying in the manor house to the hotels in Bandholm or Maribo through the night after the party.

We are gathering our team for work - what can you offer?

The manor house consists of many living rooms and 11 separate rooms with room for a total of 23 people. As it is an old house, we can not offer adjoining bathrooms to all rooms, but have a total of five bathrooms and to extra toilets. Agerup has a dining room with a screen that serves as an excellent conference room, one additional conference room and of course the beautiful sitting rooms. On top of that, we have fibernet so that you stay well connected.

Some corporate planners choose catering from the nearby Saxkjøbing Hotel (owned by the famous Danish chef Claus Meyer) or from Vin&Brød (the locally reputable bakery which has won prices for its sourdough bread), others hire a chef for dinner.
