What is Agerup Farm & Manor House?
Agerup Farm & Manor House is a private Danish late-empire manor house built in 1858–1860 in Guldborgsund, southern Zealand, Denmark. The estate covers 429 hectares of farmland and forest and has been in the Reventlow family since its founding. It is used for weddings, corporate retreats, and private group stays.
How many guests can Agerup Farm & Manor House accommodate for a wedding?
Agerup Farm & Manor House can host weddings of 60 to 150 guests in the estate barns. The wedding season runs from May to September. The main manor house and outbuildings sleep up to 31 overnight guests.
Does the wedding include catering or a wedding planner?
No — Agerup Farm & Manor House is exclusively a venue. There is no catering and no wedding coordination included. Couples bring their own caterers and event coordinators. This is a deliberate part of the concept: the estate is the setting; the wedding is entirely yours.
How far is Agerup Farm & Manor House from Copenhagen?
Agerup Farm & Manor House is approximately 140 km from Copenhagen — about 1 hour 35 minutes by car. The nearest train station is Sakskøbing, 5 km from the estate, with connections from Copenhagen via Nykøbing Falster.
Is there accommodation for the wedding couple and guests?
Yes. The main manor house and outbuildings sleep up to 31 guests. This makes it possible to extend the celebration across a full weekend — arriving Friday, celebrating Saturday, breakfast on Sunday.
What makes Agerup Farm & Manor House different from other wedding venues?
Agerup Farm & Manor House is not a hotel or an event centre. It is a private manor estate that Frederik Reventlow runs personally. He welcomes every guest himself and shows prospective couples around the estate. It is a personal encounter with the place — not a hospitality experience.
Can the ceremony and reception be held at the same venue?
Yes. The ceremony can be held in the garden or by the lake on the estate's 429 hectares. The estate also has a Neo-Gothic chapel from 1870 in the woodland park. The entire weekend — ceremony, dinner, and breakfast — can take place at Agerup Farm & Manor House.
What happens if it rains?
The barn is large enough to serve as a full wet-weather plan B — there is space for both dinner and dancing under cover regardless of the weather. Alternatively, a tent can be erected near the greenhouse, creating a sheltered outdoor setting for the celebration.
How do we arrange a viewing of Agerup Farm & Manor House?
Contact Frederik Reventlow directly via the contact form or by phone. Frederik personally shows all interested couples around the estate — meeting him is part of the experience before making any booking decision.
